I think that's indicative of the level of customer service you can expect. he stopped and told them if they wanted a steak, to just let the server know and he would personally cook it for them. this same chef was walking through the lobby and overheard a couple checking in expressing disappointment that the steakhouse would be closed (due to the blizzard). I was quite impressed to see one of their executive chefs cooking - and serving - in their casual dining restaurant. nevertheless, everyone pitched in and the level of service the staff provided was outstanding. many guests were stranded and some employees couldn't make it to work. most recently, i was there during a major midwestern blizzard. I have stayed at harrah's in council bluffs about ten times in the last twelve months and i have enjoyed every one of my stays (win or lose.
but you'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier and more accommodating staff in any casino hotel in the country. (heck, it's not even atlantic city.) and the hotel is not exactly the four seasons (heck, i'm not sure i'd even give them credit for three seasons). I think the mixed reviews may have something to do with unrealistic expectations. I read some of these reviews and i wonder if we're talking about the same hotel.
